Who would take over as President and would Obama even get put in the history books as actually being President?What would happen if Obama was to get assassinated before he was offically swore in as president?According to the 20th Amendment, the VP elected will become president if that were to happen. Upon being sworn in, the new President nominates a Vice President who then takes office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress according to the 25th Amendment.



So basically we'd have no say in the new VP.



I think something like this would definitely be in history books though if you see a picture of all the presidents or just a timeline of them, it'd never show him since he was only an elect and not sworn in...if that answers you.|||Than I would blame you.
