I don't like McCain or Obama. I have heard some really idiotic reasons why people do not like one or the other. One of them is the ex-McCain supporters calling Obama a socialist for saying "spread the wealth" and being too liberal. But have you guys forgotten about McCain supporting the bailout? Seriously. How can you call Obama a "socialist" without calling McCain one also? How on earth can ex-McCain supporters use socialism against Obama? They don't have the first clue what socialism is. Its just another buzz word they heard on Faux News. If they understood socialism even a little, they would understand that Sarah Palin's actions as governor are far more socialist than anything Obama has ever done or said.
Its laughable how they all conveniently forgot Bush's several press conferences wherein he explained the necessity of the bailout. Typical neocon bullshit.|||by matching positions.
http://www.dsausa.org/about/where.htmlHow on earth can ex-McCain supporters use socialism against Obama?I called them both wrong for their support of a bailout. It continues to get worse daily with more hands out expecting tax payer dollars. I voted for Bob Barr, No Bailout Sink or Swim!|||more democrats supported that crappy piece of legislation than republicans. mccain doesn't want to take money from one class and give it to another..big difference there. you think about it...it is bs to punish someone for being successful. that'd be like if you made an A on your history test and they took it down to a B to give the girl that made a D a C.
How on earth can ex-McCain supporters use socialism against Obama?76% in America think that Obama could fix the economy. If you are not one of them than you are minority.|||Speaking as a McCain supporter, my support for him went only so far as to say that he would do less damage than Obama. And yes, I still stand by my belief that Obama is a socialist.|||The Republicans under Bush particularly are socialists, but what is wrong with a little socialism if it saves the country?||| I'm not saying anymore....we will see.
|||they both suck and have some socialist leaning|||You are comparing apples and bananas. Obama is a socialist. He will prove it over the next four years. Come back in two years and explain why he is a great president. My guess is that you won't be able to.
|||Obama is a socialist..that is a fact|||Not only that, but McCain actually supports that the better off should help the not-so-well off.
So I agree that the socialist talk needs to go both ways or be eliminated.|||Honey, Obama has a long history of implementing socialist programs. His heros include Che Guevara (his poster was hanging in O's office), a Marxist revolutionary. It isn't just "spread the wealth", it's his ideas about health care, welfare, funding education, taxation, everything. And by the way, Obama also supported the bailout - both sides of the aisle did.|||Did you forget that McCain proposed a bill to stop the bail out? Did you forget the Radical Republicans overhwelmingly opposed it? But when it was at that point there was no toher choice? |||Doesn't matter what McCain's supporters call or use against Obama. They lost.|||http://www.freewebstore.org/ObamaPrints/|||The bailout is a temporary freakout.
Socialism is a slippery slope that gets slipperier the deeper you go.
But to LEAP into it by choice as if it's not just a hapless remedy but a viable philosophy??
In this, the most successful free-market system earth has ever seen (besides Darwin) while all systems of a socialist bent were grovelling at our uber-superior feet for scraps of our utter greatness?! :)
Whilst we gave more to help poor via capitalism than any country in history??
And that the fire in the economic kitchen was CAUSED by libiot Dems, so now Obama wants to throw gasoline on it as "change"??
Insert aghast superlatives: ________________________________________鈥?br>
|||All the bitter McCain supporters call Obama a Socialist when they really wanna say, "N -- ger!" They don't want to try to humanize him and so they take what he says out of context. Or they hear Fatso Hateful Limbaugh doing it on the radio.
If you want to know your President-Elect, read "Dreams from My Father" or "The Audacity of Hope" to get an idea of his world view. He isn't a cartoon, he believes in hard work and quality education for all.|||McCain and Bush can do no wrong.
When it doubt, blame the man who isn't even in the White House yet.
Their GOP tears are so yummy.
