I am a 2011 graduate and I have many options opening up for my future college to play division 1 golf, but I don't know much about this whole recruiting system. I don't want to make it seem like I'm talking to them too much or what not, so I'm wondering, how often do players usually email/call/talk to their coaches? Do they do that even if they just shot something at their tournament the past day or something?
Any help would be very appreciated, thanks! How often are you supposed to email college golf coaches? If the coach is actively recruiting you, then pretty often (with their permission, of course).
If they're not actively recruiting you, and you're just trying to get yourself recruited, leave them alone as they get enough junk email already. How often are you supposed to email college golf coaches?Scholarships for D1 athletics are going fast for 2011 graduates. In softball, the larger D1s were done giving scholarships in November or December of last year for the 2011 class. That doesn't mean there isn't any money because athletes change their minds and free up money. But you need to email them as often as it takes to get them to pay attention to you. More important...get your high school or other coach to email and call them! It means so much more coming from a coach than a player or parent. How often are you supposed to email college golf coaches? You should e-mail as often as you have a legitimate question that you can't answer any other way, or if you have some new accomplishment that you want to share, unless they've got a specific policy regarding the latter - which might be one of the questions you want to ask. (A new question every day might be pushing it, though.)
