How can building a golf complex be good for the environment?

im writing an essay on the positive and negative impacts on the environment caused by Donald Trumps plans to build golf super course and am struggling to find any answers on how building something like this (which will take over 10 years in total to build) can have any positive impacts on the environment.

also just incase you happen to know the answer

how much money will the golf course bring into scotland?

thanks sooo much

xxHow can building a golf complex be good for the environment?I don't know his exact plans, but golf courses in general are trying to "go green". The golf community is in the forefront for water recycling. Building wetlands and other types of natural habitats, and coexisting naturally, is another. Many designers are going "old-school"- putting a hole where it naturally fits, not bulldozing the earth to make a hole fit (the lower levels of carbon monoxide in the air alone is noteworthy). They're also looking at natural pesticides, from non-toxic chemicals to housing certain pests' natural predators. Keeping with natural flora doesn't sound like a big deal, but when it's left alone, it promotes the natural wildlife that lives off that flora to survive- the good news: no palm trees in Scotland!

There's also the non-golf opportunities like job creation and economy stimulation. I hope against hope that Trump isn't building one of those exclusive "resort courses" (the bane of golfers in general). If it's something manageable and affordable, he's got a winner on his hands. Which leads to some of the cons...

If it isn't "manageable" (as in, less than 7,000 total yards, doesn't require extensive maintenance) there could be trouble down the road, unless they develop solar-powered lawn mowers. All that's required to make it a "player's" course can also bring the costs up- while it can bring in some business, it won't be nearly as much if the general public could afford to play it.How can building a golf complex be good for the environment?Since there are no schematics as to the acreage involved, the environmental issues to be faced, the present use of the land and its location your question will not get the appropriate answer. The revenue produced by any golf venture depends on the state of the economy, the amount of true disposable income, and the willingness of golfers to part with their money. Be a bit more restrictive in your question .How can building a golf complex be good for the environment?golf courses, especially large multi course complexes such as you are referring, maintain large greenbelts, reduce carbon emissions in said zone, encourage the planting of trees in many cases, and often act as annual stops for waterfowl.

these environmental impacts are nice to see, but pale in comparison to the positive economic impact that usually accompanies a complex like trump's.

Dont be swayed by the en vogue propensity for bashing all things capitalist or traditional behind the guise of environmentalism. Golf courses are generally good for the environment and the economy.
