In other words, not much. The economy is so bad, our problems so great, his crew so full of Clintonites, don't expect much.

Do expect Hillary to open her mouth, Slow Joe to say something weird, Bill to shame himself some more and a scandal to surface in his administration not of his own doing. Look for a major challenge from the Russians and or Chinese. Don't take your eye off of the Iranians either.

Outrider|||All Obama is is a good speaker. I believe we are in for a bad time.|||At first no differences, but then people will begin commenting on how the sky seems brighter. Random acts of kindness will unexpectedly increase and violent crime will all but disappear. People will start gathering in small groups for no good reason...and eventually those groups will begin to sing out of sheer joy.



The old cliche "No child left behind" will take on new meaning as it expanded to mean "No One left behind" as we will truly become our brother's keeper.



Certain of our traditional skills such as mockery and humiliation will atrophy from lack of use and be replaced by reverence for ourselves as well as others.



Our beloved planet will become a paradise as we are finally able to realize our potential to be stewards of all living things that need stewardship.



Unexpectedly the media will loose a great deal of its signifigance as we no longer will require information or diversion.



We will finally have each other!





He should be able to make some improvements in his second term as well.|||just wait and see.|||Isn't it interesting that there are people like JAYPAULDINI who believes that Obama is going to be the savior of America but hasn't listened to anything that Obama has said.



Obama has not said that he will end the war in Iraq. He has said he will scale down troops in Iraq by moving them to Afghanistan. It will be the same war in a different location.



Obama isn't going to miraculously make the economy better. This economic situation (despite popular belief) didn't start in the past eight years and it probably won't be completely in four years. Obama has said that it will get worse before it gets better and that it may not be completed in four years but may take eight years. Expect the same economy for several years.



Obama isn't going to start universal health care. He never promised universal health care. His plan is to have the government subsidize the health care for those people who are uninsured so they can have the same health care as government employees. For the vast majority of people, the only effect will be higher insurance premiums and higher taxes to pay for the uninsured along with longer waits at the doctor or hospital.



Obama will raise taxes. The only real question is who will have to pay the additional taxes. His original plan called for raising the taxes of people over $250K but that was down to $150K or less by election time. His proposed spending programs will mean many people will see tax increases.|||What will happen? I don't think that anyone here is a fortune teller. I think that he will do the best that he can do. And some people will keep on hating him, and some will keep on liking him and supporting him. I do believe that his works will be judged on the color of his skin by many. And I think that Obama realizes that there will be very tough roads ahead of him, but he's prepared.
