How do you feel about Obama being our next president?

It's fine with me. I would like to know what people, mostly white people, feel that Obama will become our next president?

Do you think race relations will dramatically improve? Will it break racial barriers? Will there be more interracial couples? How do you feel about Obama being our next president?I feel that the liberal media will leave Obama alone, no criticism, or investigating anything questionable like in the campaign. The comedians will have to find something new to joke about. Michael Moore will stop making anti American movies, Bill Maher will have to get a real job, like cleaning toilets in a mens room. I love it! No more bashing our president. I am glad Obama won! |||A lot of people don't really care about the president's color, as long as he's a strong and effective leader.

Including me.

Race relations improving? I don't think so. The election of Obama has brought forth a lot of bashing and hatred from some racists. If anything, racists will still be as angry and hateful. Look around this site; there are a lot of racists coming out and bashing Obama...

On the other hand, the election of Obama, even from some traditionally republican states, demonstrated that the majority care more about important things like policies and leadership than about race, if at all.

As for breaking racial barriers, I think it's a long road to come. How do you feel about Obama being our next president?I think cynical people will become more cynical and optimistic people will become more optimistic. Fortunately, there are more optimistic people in this country, as the election proves.

I think it is a wonderful thing that he is president; not because he is Black, but because he is a good leader and he will rally the American people to do for ourselves and not just sit around and wait for the government to do for us.

Good riddance George W. Bush. The worst president in the history of this country.|||I like his policies and his ideas. I voted for him because of his ideas and his character, not because of his race. His race had nothing to do with why I supported him. I felt he was the best candidate for the job. In future, I do think that because he is of mixed race, he will be able to improve relations between america and the rest of the world. As for improving race relations here in america.. well that is something that we americans will have to work on. I think that time may be the only answer there. I think we will have to wait until the majority of the "old guard" racists die out. I also think that his entire economic background will help greatly... he is more like the rest of america and the rest of the world in that respect. How do you feel about Obama being our next president?well to tell you the truth, i am a child from an irracial cople, and i think that, Obama will have to stand up for everything he said he would unless he wants historty to go back in time. I believe that if u soesnt segregation will start to happen again maybe on to the government but privatly among the whites and blacks. I am so happy he won but i also hink that people are taking his winning to far. I think his winning is opening new doors so several things, bmayb nect time we could have a woman president white or black, but i am happy i can be alive while history is being made

and as of it breakign racial barriers and those other questions the answers are no, people are not going to change just because we have ablack president, that may get a slight bit better, but not by much. I sure hopes it goes way better than the bush administration|||I love it.

Race relations dramatically improve? No. Break racial barriers? No. Those who hate inwardly are good at pretending now days because outward discrimination is not only illegal in most situations, but it's no longer socially acceptable.

More interracial couples? That's the least of our concerns as a nation ... really.|||Will the press %26amp; Obama allow it? The Jessy Jacksons %26amp; Al Sharptons have a vested interest is keeping the races angry at each other. The Dems have a vested interest in buying votes with entitlements - its other peoples money. They can get pats on the back without giving a dime of their own money to charity. Just look at the % of their gross income most liberals give to charity. The working class republicans tend to give a larger %. If you don't believe me check out Obama's tax return.|||I am very disappointed... he is anti-american... he won't put his hand over his heart during the pledge of alegiance.. he went to the middle east and said we deserved 9/11 and that is purley wrong! He wants to raise taxes on the upper class but why punish hard working americans that earn their money.. sure lower taxes on the middle class but don't punish the upper class. and he is going to screw over small business which is basically what America is made of..he will screw our country up and if he gets assasinated which is very likely.. biden will be a worse president.. all possible outcomes of this election were bad|||well live in Ohio and Pres. elect Obama ran as a republican . is for gun rights , smaller government , and tax breaks. three of the major planks of the republican platform.

so he promised to govern as a republican lets see if he does. |||i feel awesome

race may still be an issue but we are getting closer to equality.

you know maybe if obama and michelle were interracial then the interracial thing might become more widespread but no...|||No, it will get worst. Now the whites will hate people of color even more. Some colored folks are holding up their heads. Whites don't like this, truth be told. |||He can't be any worse than his predecessor. I think he will be a good president and I think he will return honor to the White House|||The Best is yet to Come!

Obama/Biden

Ebony %26amp; Ivory Presidency|||1461 days until the next election.|||I'm proud to have him as president and i love it. I know he is gonna be a wayyy better president than the man before him :]. |||OMG! I thought i was gonna see this when I was like 100 years old. But, im very proud that our president is BLACK and also that i really do hope he will try whatever to help this nation!|||I feel like I am living History
