Since conservatives have decided Obama has "flip flopped" on the issue of nuclear power by expressing support for development of nuclear power, I would like to see a clear statement of his former position opposing development of nuclear power.
Can anyone quote Obama saying he is against development of new nuclear power plants?
Should be easy for those of you who are so certain Obama has "flip flopped" on this issue. Can someone show me a quotation from Barack Obama in which he says he opposes development of nuclear plants?I have never liked the "flip flop" argument unless it's on a campaign promise or intentionally used on an issue people recognise will swing votes before an election begins.
Nuclear power is the sort of issue where its easy to have a view one way or the other that could be changed the more you learn about it so it doesn't bother me too much that he has reevaluated his view of nuclear power.|||here is the link. Read them and weep. Can someone show me a quotation from Barack Obama in which he says he opposes development of nuclear plants?Who said he flip flopped? I'm happy he is pushing for nuclear energy. This should have a domino effect in our energy mix, and help us become energy independent.|||he said he wants to safely harness nuclear power. i'm no obama fan but that is what he said.i just think it was really low on his priority list even though 70% of our green and clean power comes from them. Can someone show me a quotation from Barack Obama in which he says he opposes development of nuclear plants?Ah, a typical helpless Democrat. Are you saying you need a government program to google anything? Is that your point?
