The second one was Georgia where he urged restraint on both sides. McCain instantly identified the aggressor.
How will Obama do on the next test?How well will Obama do with his foreign policy test?I'm so glad that surge worked. It's nice that our troops are coming home and we won and there's no more suicide bombers and...oh what? they aren't coming home? We haven't won? there was another bomb yesterday?
Then how did it 'work'?|||Since it will be strictly an academic exercise (he won't be President), it depends on who grades it.
I think his own words say it best:
"I will stand with the Muslims if the political winds shift in an ugly direction."How well will Obama do with his foreign policy test?breaking news, McCain aborts Palin's moose cak %26amp; moves to Mexcio|||At this point I doubt it is going to be good. Obama has his work cut out for him if he is to become president. He may have more than one front to fight on. Not only will there be problems with the opposite side once one of the candidates are elected, but I dont think eiether really has what it takes if we have problems in the middle east and suddenly Russia or China or BOTH decide to pick on us a bit. Three fronts and conflict within his country, I'd hate to be president over then next few years.How well will Obama do with his foreign policy test?Brilliantly, like JFK
Bush and the republicans fail again and again
thank god the next president will be democratic and competent
|||First, there was no surge in Iran. Secondly, he was not wrong to oppose it - ultimately US national security would be better if we had pulled troops out of Iraq earlier and put a some more in Afghanistan. The success of the surge was as much about paying off our former enemies (and possibly future enemies), appeasing the Iranian backed Madr army, and the secret techniques that Bob Woodward talks about. It also turns out that Obama's withdrawal plan is exactly in line with the plan of the democratically elected Iraqi government.
On Georgia, you are incorrect. Georgia and Russia were equally to blame. Georgia sent troops to a region that was de facto autonomous and loyal to Russia since the early 1990s in an attempt to assert central government authority. The Russians rightly regarded that as a provocation. They were wrong to invade Georgia, but the Russian reaction was entirely foreseeable and preventable if the Georgians hadn't acted in such a cavalier manner and had attempted to resolve their disputes with Ossetians through diplomacy. Obama actually warned about the Georgia situation before it developed, indicating once again his foresight (which was awesomely correct in the case of Iraq and Afghanistan).|||Which surge in Iran would that be?
has Bush and Cheney already started another war?
maybe you should do more research into the Georgia-Russian conflict.
both sides were at fault, just as both sides are at fault in the conflict betwen the Palisinians and Israel.
Only difference is, the right took the opposite stance when it comes to Russia.
feel free to start here:
ignore the article if you wish and only read the valid sources that are sited:

http://www.cbsnews.com/elements/2008/08/鈥?/a>|||3 Strikes, you're out!
Does that answer the question?|||Firstly, you mean Iraq. (Now I can understand why the far right went to war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11) He did quite wonderfully with it. He didn't want to go to IraQ in the first place.
Secondly, McCain was wrong about Georgia. The Georgians went to attack South Ossetia. The Russians lured Saakashvili and Saakashvili took the bait, thinking the West were going to back him. McCain has very close ties to Saakashvili and was phoned directly by Saakashvili.
I will take Obama's cool smart attitude over McCain's angry old jittery man performance any day.|||I hope he does well. He is pretty wise and has many great solutions. I know he is able to multi task and bring great ideas to the foreigh policy|||If he's elected president, I'm scared to think about it. It will probably make 9/11 look like a Sunday School picnic. Say your prayers.
