Actually we probably know more about President Obama than Americans knew about the first Presidents of the USA.

Faster travel has actually enabled many Americans to see and hear 'live' what most modern presidents, including President Obama, have to say ... I'm sure that many many Americans were present at the primaries ... millions were present at his inauguration.
