Obama announced $2 billion for two alternate energy companies to create 1600 jobs.

Thats $1.25 million per job.

Government sucks and doesn`t create Jobs. It just sucks up tax payers money.|||Gosh, for being a pro-corporate Republican, I'd have imagined that you'd understand that the initial jobs created wouldn't be a cap.. That's right,their governments are investing in green technologies. China has stated that it wants to dominate the wind turbine generator business. Unfortunately we have dummies like the Tea Party who will allow it to happen. Do ever watch science programs on the Discovery Channel or the Science Channel or do you just watch Cluster Faux News all day? The Japanese want to put solar collectors in space, where the Sun shines every day, and make electricity that can be turned into microwaves and get beamed back to Earth. We have a bunch of ignorant people in this country who think science is some kind of liberal scheme to take money out of their pockets and put it someone else's. If this country loses it's scientific edge it will be because of people like the Republicans and the Tea Party.



Edit:Gadfly I can do basic math, but our glorious leader Mr. Dick Cheney said deficits don't matter. Add to that the fact that the Republicans want permanent tax cuts for the rich which already gave us an additional 3.5 trillion dollars to that deficit. What is really amazing is that these dumb a$$ Tea Partiers don't see the smoke and mirrors when it comes to the GOP. Why are the so eager to put them back in charge? Oh, and I almost forgot. Remember that budget surplus that Clinton left us? Remember Bush saying that we had overpaid and handing out that surplus instead of using it to pay down the deficit? That added another half trillion dollars to the deficit. To top everything off,all this time they were borrowing money to pay for two wars.



BTW, I see people like you here every day claiming that the President shouldn't blame Bush for the problems we face today. The fact is we can trace everything right back to policies of BUSH/CHENEY. I'm sure though that you will use handwavium to distract from the truth though.That's what they did when they passed all of this crap.
