When is Braq Obama, going to start fulfilling his campaign promises, with over 1000 to go he should do 1 a day?

My favorite is his Transparency Promise. I know some people like the Reverend Wright was hoping for Reparations to be first on the list. But Obama said over and over "The first thing I am going to do is capitulate Iraq and bring our troops home."When is Braq Obama, going to start fulfilling his campaign promises, with over 1000 to go he should do 1 a day?He won't they were just all campaign lies and he seems to believe that the media will ignore this in the future , they might but the voters wont, 0bama will be a one termer unless he gets impeached first|||Actually, it's closer to 500. The non-partisan Politifact keeps a good barometer on promises kept, broken, in the works and no action yet. The majority are in the "no action yet" category.



He said that he would withdraw combat forces from Iraq by August 2010 and all remaining troops by December 2011.

He's also working on healthcare reform, has already healed a lot of our international damage, is focusing on Afghanistan, passed a the Stimulus Bill and the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and he's getting energy initiatives moving. It's excellent. Where have you been for the last six months ten days? President Obama has been juggling more than any other president in the history of this nation has ever been facing. The JibJab comedic parody is actually pretty close to the truth when they paint our President as a superhero (with big ears, of course...lol). More than half you anti-Obama people complain because he is on TV too much, and now here you are complaining he is not on TV enough. He shares as much as is feasible when it is feasible to do so. Sometimes when things are in a planning stage, too much interruption or public attention disrupts the process---surely you know that. Be patient, is my advice. Our leader is already more "transparent" in his dealings than the previous administration, and he is more honest about budget, too---Bush and Cheney left the costs of both wars OFF the books...Did you know that? It was an accounting trick to make things look rosier than they were, but also to avoid controversy from their critics over the legalities of the war in Iraq or the no-bid contracts to the VP's Halliburton and KBR, etc. In his first days in office the very first week, President Obama added these figures to the budget, telling the media that this was his new policy: No tricks with accounting, no smoke and mirrors--true figures, so the American people know the truth. That took political courage, you'd have to agree...right? Before you cast aspersions, why don't you study the economists' reports on our economic indicators (all basically heading in the right direction)? The interim step in Iraq was highly intelligent---firm steps towards withdrawal, which is still set for January if conditions remain stable. The step-back is like a dad teaching his kid how to ride a bike, one reporter says, and the training wheels have been removed (our troops pulling out of towns and cities), but he still holds on to the seat to make sure the kid can maintain his balance (an MSNBC report, 6/30/09). Makes so much sense to me. To abruptly pull out after six long years would completely destabilize the entire region and negate any progress that has been made. This was an illegal war, but we had a responsibility to at least fix what we broke. Try to be more open-minded, will you? He is trying, with incentives, to get companies to relocate on American soil, has given an $8000 tax credit for anyone buying an American-made car, has dreams of green technologies that can make the U.S. a world leader in exports (which means high-paying jobs back home), and the influx of cash from the Stimulus is beginning to have the "trickle UP" effect that is needed to unshrink and expand our economy. Reverend Wright is NOT an issue---so he puts his foot in his mouth occasionally and gets fired up in inflammatory ways during a few of his diatribes...so do G. Gordon Liddy, Rush Limbaugh, Rep. Eric Kanter-R (the guy who committed Treason on Saturday in front of TV cameras and caused the eruption of violence against Iran's demonstrators), FOX News/Bill-O, to name a few...So what? President Obama is not going to violate the Constitution like Bush did by funneling millions upon millions of federal dollars to charities through his "Office of Faith-Based Initiatives" set up in the White House---in violation of separation of church and state. This guy we elected is a really good guy---smart, fair, compassionate, strong, and the perfect mixed heritage to help negotiate peace. I plan on voting for him again in 2012.
