Is that really Obama saying he will bankrupt coal companies?

On the newly released tape, Obama says our electricity prices will "skyrocket." What is he talking about? Is he planning on bankrupting these companies that make our electricity? Is this for real?Is that really Obama saying he will bankrupt coal companies?Scary isn't it?

Why won't the media report this stuff? You think the economy is bad now, just wait.|||Is that really the same coal miner union that SUPPORTS OBAMA FOR PRESIDENTIs that really Obama saying he will bankrupt coal companies?noooooooooooooooooo|||Obama doesn't know what he's talking about! All he does is try to look "cool". So they put out pictures of him with cigarettes in his mouth, a real role model, not! That may work for a shallow minded individual, but it won't work for the majority. That probably will do him in, in Oh, Pa, Va and In.

We need a leader, not a hip trendy fake!

Good Luck, ;-)Is that really Obama saying he will bankrupt coal companies?Yes, he will bankrupt the coal companies.

In Texas, our rate is already 14 cents a kwh. The rates here are out of control. |||Yes.

Basically to follow a a 'green' policy Barack is willing to bankrupt companies with coal fired power plants.

He is clueless given the fact that 50% of our power comes from coal.|||Yes...he said it...how are people saying no to this in the answers LOL?|||The Obamites are clueless and they would put the whole country out of business to try to not pollute..

He is not a man for the white house.. I am not a Democrat, but Hillary was better than this guy..|||Indeed that is what Obama said.

Listen up people. Obama is far more to the left than what it may seem like. He has hidden agendas. We would know about these agendas if he didn't hide all his college thesis papers. Why anyone would vote for someone who intentionally hides things is crazy. The youth and ignorant of this nation are going to lead us into a socialist/communist form of government without even realizing they are doing it. All because its the "latest thing" to love obama.

Now I don't know about you all, but i'm going to vote for the candidate that will try their best to keep my energy bills low while at the SAME TIME invest in researching newer energy technologies. For some reason obama is incapable of doing both these at once. |||In his plan Obama shows absolutely no concern for the lives he would rip apart. Acceptable casualties for the greater good. History filled with men who thought that way. All tyrants and dictators. PLEASE VOTE MCCAIN

HALF OF OUR ELECTRICITY COMES FROM COAL!

We should phase out old forms of energy ONLY when new affordable ones are ready to take over.|||The video you watched is from a McCain Youtuber and the video is cut. Wonder why the video was cut, hmmmmm......Last minute McCain smear anyone?|||Do you have something to say to The New President? This is a place for you to write what you would say to the new President "Barack Obama" if you had the opportunity.

http://www.squidoo.com/dear_mr_president|||Unfortunately yes|||no. no. no.|||no thats false.|||In that youtube video he doesn't say existing industry will go bankrupt. He talks about additional coal plant. He talks about carbon trade and limiting coal plants in future. He doesn't say any of existing plant will shut down existing coal plants. In fact in past he has talked about clean coal technology.

Theres nothing in the video that says current industry will go bankrupt. Other than it will be hard to build new additional plants. And that carbon trade market will allow plants to make money if they don't go full capacity by selling their carbon emission.

I'm getting sick of people just reading titles and not even listening to whole thing. It was about shifting energy industry gradually. As old energy technology dies out there will be new one that replace it. Won't there be jobs in new energy technology? Or will be just run by robots?

Its not like getting rid of coal tech and just be done with. People aren't idiots. They're not gona get off old technology unless there is new one to shift to. What Obama talks about is way for us to move to new one. There will be plenty of jobs in new energy technologies too.
