People in USSR had to stand in line for toilet paper. Everyone had to have everything 'rationed' to them, everyone had to have the same amount of toilet paper, food, water, clothes, etc.

As for communism, how does it create "equality?" In what way will we be equal? Will we all be the same height? Weigh the same amount? Like the same music? Eat the same foods?.......etc.....



The very essence of being human is having individual characteristics and making your own choices, based on what you think is right.



No man, or group of men, can make all humans equal...with the only exception being treating all men equally under the law...and we all know how poorly government does in that area.|||There no such thing, in real life, as a Communist society. Communism is an ideology, and a goal which will someday come into existence, if you are a Communist. Under Communism there is no government, only administrators. Marx was of the opinion that the society would have to become Socialist before it could develop further and become Communist. Well, he also thought that a lively Capitalism would have to develop before Socialism could evolve; yet the biggest Socialist country, USSR, went from agricultural/feudal society to Socialism; so he was wrong about that.

So okay, maybe Obama could start a Communist government without socializing the economy first; if the people would permit it. We do have nation in which votes count; so the people would have to permit it.
