I support Obama, and I am only amused by what is taking place. First the opposition tells us he is a muslim and cannot be trusted. Then they tell us he is a christian and cannot be trusted.
Do they really think that this is an effective tactic, and do they think that it will sway votes?Do the TRUE Obama supporters believe that their candidate is in danger from the continuing attacks?Of course it's going to work on some of the more self righteous people.
Those who would never admit to having a negative thought about anyone.
The ones who don't realize that they also have friends and family that they don't always agree with.
My kids say things I don't agree with all the time, especially the older ones. I don't stop loving them because of it.
My friends and I don't always agree politically, heck, my husband and I don't always agree politically.
There have been many times our government has done things that I don't agree with, things that make other countries look down on us or hate us with a passion.
How many of the people who condemn Rev Wrights comments about America have not complained themselves about the Bush administration or any of the previous administrations?
How many people can say that minorities have always been treated fairly? Especially if you're talking about older minorities? We have come a long way as a country in terms of fairness to people of all color but we are not there yet.
That just means I am going to do what I can to try and change things.
I'm going to vote for the person I think will be the best one to make that happen.
I am still hoping to vote for Obama in November!
You can love a person and / or your country with out agreeing 100% of the time!
I'm sure that Rev Wright has done a lot of positive for Obama and his family as well as the members of his church.
edit:
@ak6702 - being pro choice does not = pro abortion.
Illegality affected the safety of abortion but it never affected the number of abortions that were performed.
There's a better way. Legal abortion and reducing unintended pregnancies will reduce the abortion rate without endangering women's lives. Obama works with Planned Parenthood to try and reduce the number of women who find themselves in those situations.
The Government really has no business in this issue in the first place.|||I think the above you mentioned no longer applies...now the whole world knows he belongs to a racist preaching churchDo the TRUE Obama supporters believe that their candidate is in danger from the continuing attacks?People, don't mix religions with politics.|||Obama seems to have the traits and personality of honoring the truth. If you;ve read his books, you'd see the incredible honesty of Obama, oozing out of the 2 books.
Hillary and Candidate seems to be afraid of their truths being exposed. And to cover up the truth about themselves, they manipulate the Public and tell lies, attacking their oponent. Lies tend to backfire, sooner or later. And they will look "silly" and ridiculous in Public... when their lies are being exposed.Do the TRUE Obama supporters believe that their candidate is in danger from the continuing attacks? There are usually alot of voters in the general election who take nothing more than a casual glance at the candidates before going into the voting booth.
So, yeah... I'm concerned that viral rumors might hurt his chances in November. People are dumb sometimes. Rather than take the time to find out if the accusations made about a candidate are true or false, they will simply vote for the person who has the least amount of surrounding controversy.
Obama is different though. His agenda is to fix the system, end partisanship, and enact ethics reform. The status quo wants him out, he's getting attacked from both entrenched Democrats and Republicans who see him as a threat to their position.
For the first time in my life, I have the chance to vote for someone who will actually work to improve America, and not just his bank account. Obama will inspire many to vote who until now have not bothered.
To those that had lost faith in the system, let me intoduce you to our candidate. Together we can vote into office the man who will put America on a new and better path. Together we can turn the page on the constant squabbling that our political system has become.
It will take work to get the word out to all those who had given up on our polital system, but we can get it done.
Yes we can.|||The true effective tactic Obama and his supporters use are threats. Threats of riots and a mass walk out if Hillary supporters don't roll over and play dead.
You see it every night on cable news.
The true shock will come in the General Election if he does get in when The Hillary supporters walk into polling booths and vote McCain.|||It is an effective tactic, and it is working. His campaign is going down in flames!
It'll be Hillary vs. McCain in November. :-)|||I noticed many people on here have the last 10 or 20 question about obama. Not really questions more statements about how bad he is.
Get a life|||It works on republicans because they are is dumb!
Ever notice how there are more sex scandals for republican than for democrats?
Wat do you there thinks of that?|||No. Because they are lies and the people that propagate them know that. The Rev. Wright issue is different though.
Since Rev. Wright is closely affiliated with him then that means he has to go. Obama has to diss him in public.
It's as simple as that. Otherwise, his campaign sinks and all this stiff about antin-'Mericanism dogs him for the rest of his campaign.|||Don't forget that he is also been homosexual with Larry Sinclair and can't be trusted! He's also a communist admirer of Che Guevara who can't be trusted! He is also responsible for the 'cloverfield incident' when a giant monster devastated Manhattan island, OBAMA CAN'T BE TRUSTED ZOMG!!!11one.|||Yes, they do and they know but they also know there is nothing to worry and that it just shows dirty politics is at work on the other side!|||No it is only self destructive to the Democratic Party.
But no that is appearant the Democratic Party is no ready for a Black President. There is no way on earth the Country is ready.
Although, the Reblicans did have the first black senator , representative, Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, Freedom of the Slaves, and Affirmative Action.
Maybe its to much to expect from the Democratic Party.|||These little obstacles will not stop the movement for "Change" in the way America does business at Home %26amp; Abroad!!
OBAMA 2008|||It'll probably add fuel to the fire for people who didn't like him anyway, the way these things do, but I don't believe it'll sway his supporters away from him.
It's really not that surprising that people would bring up things like this. The Muslim rumor, his church, that thing about the flag -- people are trying to make Obama into this scary person with terrible hidden agendas, but when you look at this guy's life and what he's done, he's really not scary. He's just a regular guy. Well, okay, he's a lawyer, but other than that not scary. :) I'm looking forward to the day when he's been president for a couple of years and Americans finally understand that he's just a regular normal guy, just like all the rest of us.|||I am a true Obama supporter however, these tactics by the Clinton's seem to work. This is very sad, because I know he is not a racist. Also, I know that he truly wants to change the country for the better. I go to a Church now. My pastor is a republican, and I am democrat. Does that mean I am a republican by association. I do not think so. I do not think most Americans can separate the two however.|||No. In fact, I think he'll use this opportunity to talk about the race issue and make some things clear.
People who listen to Rev. Wright, but have never been to a black church and don't understand the purposes of black churches are going to have questions. But when they take a closer look, they'll understand it better.
The people who are on these forums and keeping saying "racist" over and over are not the people that we need to be concerned with.
I think that his base is solid now.
