And if so, does anyone have any insight as to what the changes will be?Is APA planning to publish a 6th edition of the publication manual anytime soon?
From the official site of the publication manual I found no hint of one being released soon and with that, no word on any changes.
redundantredundancy: The latest edition of the DSM, is the DSMIV-TR. The DSMV will not be released until 2010. Not sure on any new inclusions or changes myself, all I know it is being worked on now.Is APA planning to publish a 6th edition of the publication manual anytime soon?
You are referring to the DSM, I infer? Well I don't know about a 6th edition, do they even have a 5th yet? LOL if they do I am totally out of it. Anyway I heard for the DSM-V they might add alexithymia, (not sure I didn't mix up the 'y' and the 'i' there) whereas now it is just a condition that tends to accompany some other disorders such as eating disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder, or it can just be by itself.
