Hi,
My Golf has been parked up for a while and the battery has gone dead. The door and boot locks also won't work, and the bonnet is obviously shut and I can't release it to charge the battery without being in the car.
Any suggestions as to how I could get in (preferably without breaking anything), or get the bonnet open to charge the battery? How do I get into my Mk 3 VW Golf when the battery is dead? How do I stop the dashboard rattling in my Golf V?
I have a Golf V. There's a square ventilation grille on the top of the dashboard, for de-misting the windscreen. Problem is, it rattles all the time, even on smooth roads! It's very annoying. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, is there a fix?How do I stop the dashboard rattling in my Golf V?If you can, remove it and use a little bit of clear Silicone on the bottom side of it. Let it dry, reinstall and it should have a snug fit.
Or get the Silicone tube and cut a small opening on the tip, and squeeze some around the sides, then wipe off the excess stuff. How do I stop the dashboard rattling in my Golf V?Is it still under warranty? If it is, take it back to the dealer!! Mine went back about four times, I threatened to take them to Trading Standards if nothing was done about it!! Hey presto! the car was virtually stripped down, but they cured that damned rattle!! Good luck! How do I stop the dashboard rattling in my Golf V?Take the grill off and lay down some dynomat, or any other sound deadening material and that should cure it.

Where can I find a good golf set for a beginner?
Hi, I'm starting to really get into golfing. I'm 20 years old, 6'3'' and 160 lbs. I'm also a righty. I'm not sure if all that matters but I figured I just let you guys know.
Anyways, I wanted to know your recommendations for a quality and inexpensive golf set for a beginner like me. Also, if you can include where I can find such a set, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.Where can I find a good golf set for a beginner?I would by a mid range set, but definently a name brand in case you want to resale. You could go to a shop and get fit for a set although I can tell you I play a pretty standard set up and I'm 6'2". You may want to hold off until after you play a little. Maybe get fit for your second set.
Go to a range and demo some clubs.
Get an easy set to hit that's forgiving. Stay away from blade style irons and go for cavity back. I like cobra for value and playability.
Once you settle on something check out ebay for the best deals. You can use this tool to find out what clubs sold for on Ebay...

http://www.mobilegolfstats.com/|||I'd say to go to a pro shop and ask the service person to measure your swing/grip so you know whether or not you're too tall for a standard set, first. Then, once you have the necessary information, go to Ebay and price decent sets of clubs by watching the auctions to get a good idea of the norm; then decide which suits your tastes.
Before you spend hundreds of dollars on something that's not going to help you get better, get a set of used clubs that fit and then work on your stroke. 5 lessons will give you better feedback than 5 sets of clubs or 5 opinions...Where can I find a good golf set for a beginner?Because of your height, standard size clubs may not be comfortable for you. If they were, I'd say any big box retailer (in the US, Dick's, Sports Authority are but two of many) will have an inexpensive set you can buy.
You may want to go to a golf-specific store and see if you need to be fitted or not. If nothing else, you'd know your specs, and could then at least go the ebay route.|||Golf clubs can be so expensive but I found that Dick's Sporting Goods is perfect for good quality sets that can be affordable.

Does the club selected on a Golf Simulator affect the stats of the shot?
The golf simulator at the Golf Galaxy in Austin always shows a two iron being used and the shots I hit aren't the same shape of length of the normal shots I hit. For instance, I hit an 8 iron +/- 150 and when I do it on there it says my clubhead speed is 73. This can't be correct can it?Does the club selected on a Golf Simulator affect the stats of the shot?Golf simulators are notoriously inaccurate. They don't know what club you have in your hand, and they don't detect spin of the ball. At best they can determine ball speed and ball trajectory.Does the club selected on a Golf Simulator affect the stats of the shot?As the technology is improving day by day, the golf simulators are getting more advanced. You can check these golf simulators which might detect your club also .
